Name: acer platanoides / princeton gold. Sun exposure: full sun, sun to partial shade. Bloom color: pale yellow, chartreuse (yellow-green), pale green.

Sow seeds on an area of well-drained topsoil and cover with approximately 3/8 inch to 1 inch of soil.
Water the soil until it is most and spongy but no standing water is present. Allow soil to dry out entirely before watering again. Note: some maple varieties take longer to germinate than others.

For instance, the norway maple typically requires 90 to 120 days to germinate. Plant multiple seeds in a single area, even if the intention in to grow only one tree. A single seed can become rotten or plant can get scorched, and the process would have to start over. Pull any additional trees from the ground before they become saplings.
