New Pictures added March 25, 2019. Extremely Rare Japanese Dwarf Flowering Quince Chojubai AAA quality specimen bonsai with tiny leaves, and extremely short internodes. This is the highly desirable RED flowers and small quince fruit. This tree was imported from Japan many years ago and this variety was classified as AAA quality material from the nursery. This variety will flower all year round, and fruiting after. The beautiful five petal flowers are usually less than 3/4. This Chojubai is trained as a single trunk potted in a beautiful green glazed lotus pot. This Chojubai variety is very slow growing and hardy, but do protect from high winds and below freeze weather. Full sun and afternoon under shade cloth in the summer. Keep soil moist and never allow to dried. Repotted in January 2019 in pure akadama soil and is fertilized with BioGold.
