BONSAI TREE ROOT OVER ROCK KISHU SHIMPAKU in CERAMIC YIXING POT. We realize that the winter chill is affecting many parts of the U. Katade mochi` One handed! Height: The Height of the tree from the soil line to the top of the apex is 13. Trunk Diameter: The trunk Dia, is approximately 1.25 inches. Nebari (Root Spread): Tree shows many exposed Roots 7. Fine Kishu Shimpaku (juniper) with a root over rock style. Is well on its way to becoming a very nice specimen tree. There is power in the way that this trees roots cling so tightly to the rock shows the many years that have passed since it was first fashioned into this style. The foliage is of the highest quality, and the branch formation is also excellent. The Kishu Shimpaku Juniper is a very slow growing tree and for that reason, many will graft Shimpaku foliage to different variety of Junipers that grow much faster i. San Jose or Prostrata Junipers. This Shimpaku is not grafted, it is 100% authentic Kishu Shimpaku Juniper. The Kishu portion attests to the lush green growth of the foliage. The trunk does show nice movement, but the foliage scale is the part of the tree that is the most impressive. The reason I claim this, is due to the amazing emerald green condensed scale foliage that the tree is beginning to show after its short winter dormancy. Many consider the shimpaku juniper one of the most pleasant trees to work with because of its soft foliage and this one is indeed a very beautiful little tree. Complementing the impressive root over rock as well as the entire composition. Is an oval Yixing ceramic bonsai pot (11×8.5×2).
