Bonsai red lace leaf Japanese maple great movement 11 years old shohin mame nr. It is in a supper old stamped Japanese tokoname pot that is 4.5 inches by 2.75 inches tall. The tree is 8 inches tall from the soil line, and is 6.75 inches wide. 75 inch trunk with great movement. I have never had a seedling laceless that has had this extrodiary coloring to the leafs, it buds out a supper dark read then turns to red tips on the leafs and a mixture of red and green, and in fall it turns a beautiful orange. Plus its outstanding leaf pattern shape. It has been wired, pinched back, trimmed, fertilized and repotted at the appropriate times and is very healthy. It was started from a seed. Because it was started from a seed and not a cutting each seedling has unique aspects, different color leafs, different shape and cuts to the leaf pattern. This one has a reddish leaf when budding out during spring time, and into late summer it turns slightly green and great barking at an early age. Japanese maple great movement 25 years old shohin mame nr. It is in a supper old stamped Japanese tokoname pot that is 4.5 inches by 2 inches tall. The tree is 6 inches tall from the soil line, and is 5 inches wide. It has a 1.25 inch trunk at the soil line with great movement. The pot is very old with great patina on it. It has been wired, pinched back, trimmed, fertilized and repotted at the appropriate times and is very healthy. These pictures are an example of the unique fall and spring color this stocky dwarf round topped tree provides. The leaves are large and dark purple in the spring. They are rather unusual. Spring and fall are the party times. It forms a short stocky limbed tree with great character. In spite of the large leaves it is a dwarf at about 4′ x 4′ in ten years. It is as wide as tall. The item for sale is a 5 year old graft of this cultivar 44 tall. Just an exceptional variety. Item for sale is pictured. This was my fathers tree, I inherited his bonsai collection and this little gem was his pride and joy. I know the new owner will get years of gradifaction from it.
