BONSAI TREE CLASSIC TRIDENT MAPLE FOREST in FINE TOKONAME SENKOEN POT. Chumono` class (Two handed). Height: The height of the Tallest tree from the soil line to the top of the apex is 21. Nebari (Root Spread): The forest shows many exposed Roots 12.5. Trunk Diameter: The average trunk Dia, is approximately 1 thick. Canopy: The canopy of the entire forest measures 24 wide. Autumn, the years last, Loveliest smile. Most of the trees I sell are still a work in progress, but this Trident Maple Forrest is a bonsai that has the potential of becoming a masterpiece soon. This tree represents some of the best material I have to offer. I have enjoyed watching this forest grow and mature into the fine bonsai specimen that you see today. Most of the masterpiece bonsai trees that I eventually sell were started by the original first generation Japanese American bonsai masters that Ive studied under here in the west coast. This tree in particular has been worked several times over the past years by experience bonsai masters to bring to fruition. The trident maple is an outstanding tree that usually makes its appearance in winter shows when the tree is leafless and bare. Additionally, the tree is also well known for the spectacular colors the leaves display in early spring and autumn (fall), which is often a striking bronze/purple colored leaf. In truth, the tree can also display these same colors during the hottest part of summer if trained correctly. All that is required is for the leaves to be cut back completely in late July and the new growth that happens rather quickly is stunning. For a forest that is only 24 inches wide, this small giant shows a lot of seasoned character within the trees that only time can provide. Along with the outstanding composition the trees are also blessed with all the right ingredients to make this forest into a masterpiece if it isnt already. This is a Bonsai forest that can be cherished for many years and if you like the pictures than I guarantee that you will love the forest. Complementing the impressive spread of the Forest as well as the entire composition is a shallow Japanese Tokoname Senkoen oval bonsai pot. In truth, the tree and pot work in concert to help show the landscape and breaking of color of the forest. A marriage made in heaven! On a side note. Ive noticed that not too many sellers talk or write about things that should be done after you receive your tree so I will give you my two cents worth. When you receive your tree unpack it carefully. Cut the tape and plastic wrap from the pot and the branches if applicable. Secondly give the tree a good watering and then put the tree in a partially shaded spot for a few days to allow it to adjust. After several days of adjustment your new bonsai can be reintroduced to bright sun. Good luck and if you have any questions feel free to fire off a message. BONSAI TREE BOUGAINVILLEA with MASSIVE DEADWOOD in FINE GLAZED POT

BONSAI TREE BOUGAINVILLEA in FINE GLAZED POT. Chumono Two-handed, but Light in weight! Height: The height of the tree from the soil line to the top of the apex is 20. Trunk Diameter: The trunk Dia, is approximately 5 inches. Nebari (Root Spread): Tree has a great base 6. This outstanding Bougainvillea has all the right ingredients in one day becoming a masterpiece. The tree has a beautiful trunk with dramatic deadwood and a textured bark that shows the trees age. The tree also shows a canopy with great developing ramification of the Magenta/Purple bracts and leaves. I must mention that the tree has a lifeline that is coming directly from the base. A new lifeline coming from the base of a Bougainvillea is a good thing because it means that the tree will live for a very long time and not experience the dieback that many Bougainville will suffer through. In short, this tree has great potential for an artist that would love to develop and create a beautiful canopy to accompany the dramatic deadwood. Canopy as well as the entire composition is an old blue glazed round bonsai pot. The origin of the pot is unknown, but it is believed to originate from China. One of the traits I love about this pot is the patina that is visible throughout the edges (10x 7). On a side note. Ive noticed that not too many sellers talk or write about things that should be done after you receive your tree so I will give you my two cents worth. When you receive your tree unpack it carefully. BONSAI TREE KISHU SHIMPAKU JUNIPER in FINE JAPANESE MARUFUJI POT. Height: The height of the tree from the soil line to the top of the apex is 11. Trunk Diameter: The trunk Dia, is approximately. Japanese Marufuji Clay Pot: 8.5×6x2. This small Kishu Shimpaku was started and developed by the late bonsai master Mr. Masaru (Mas) Ishii and his son Gary Ishii of Chikugo-en Bonsai nursery here in. Although this tree is small in size, it exemplifies what bonsai is all about. This wonderful and old bonsai looks like a big tree. The tree was repotted early this year so it is well established and it will not need repotting for at least another two years. This Shimpaku is not grafted, it is 100% authentic Kishu Shimpaku Juniper. The Kishu portion attests to the lush green growth of the foliage. The trunk shows nice movement from the base of the tree to the apex. Gary Ishii told me that the movement was created when the tree was still young and malleable. Along with the visible nice age of the trunk, the tree is blessed with a very impressive canopy that is developing nicely. The reason I claim this, is due to the amazing emerald green condensed scale foliage that the tree normally shows during the spring and summer periods. Many consider the shimpaku juniper one of the most pleasant trees to work with because of its soft foliage and this one is in deed a very beautiful tree and easy to work with. Overall, the composition of this Shimpaku conveys a tree that has aged well. The spreading branches and curvy trunk give the impression of a tree that has spent its entire life on an open prairie. Adding to the synergy of beautiful trunk and canopy is a fine rectangular Japanese Marufuji ceramic bonsai pot (8.5×6x2). On a side note. Ive noticed that not too many sellers talk or write about things that should be done after you receive your tree so I will give you my two cents worth. When you receive your tree unpack it carefully. BONSAI TREE RARE TWINTRUNK STRAWBERRY GUAVA in FINE JAPANESE POT! Height: The height of the tree from the soil line to the top of the apex is 44. Trunk Diameter: The trunk Dia, at base is approximately 4.25 inches. Trunk Dia of tallest Tree is 2 thick. Most of the trees that I sell are still a work in progress, but this rare Twin Trunk Strawberry Guava is a completed composition that is now show ready. It is a tree that has never been shown anywhere until today. The tree represents some of the best material I have to offer. I have enjoyed watching this tree grow and mature into the fine bonsai specimen that you see today. Most of the masterpiece bonsai trees that I eventually sell were started by the original first generation Japanese American bonsai masters that Ive studied under here in the west coast. This tree in particular has been worked on several times over the past 30 years by an experienced bonsai master to bring to fruition. Notes on the tree. The strawberry guava is self pollinating. It is only necessary to have one plant for the tree to produce fruit and this tree produces fruit every year. The plant flowers strongly in spring and sporadically in fall; in both instances the flowers are followed by fruit. The flowers are on interior leaf axils rather than on the tips of a branch, so this flowering plant lends itself exceptionally well for bonsai training. The strawberry guava sets fruit easily and does not drop it until it is dead ripe. In the ground, the tree fruits heavily; in a bonsai pot, fruiting is lighter. Fertilizers with a little extra phosphorus and potassium give the best results and can be given to the plant pretty much year round since it is an evergreen. Fall and winter call for less fertilizer than spring and early summer, but the plants seem to thrive better if they are fertilized year round. The entire fruit, skin and all, is edible. The skin is the color of an overripe strawberry, the flesh is white, and the taste is slightly reminiscent of a strawberry. Like most fruiting plants, the strawberry guava does best in a free draining bonsai soil. In a pot, it takes just a little more water than other bonsai, although in the ground it is somewhat drought tolerant when established. It grows slowly, even in the ground, making a small 8-10 foot tree over time. Clearly I have enjoyed having this tree and I will miss eating the fruit the most, but if you would like to add something different to your collection then I recommend that you try the. Strawberry Guava and bon appétit! Adding to the synergy of the powerful twin trunk as well as the entire composition is a big and old oval ceramic bonsai pot (16.5×14x5.5). The sage colored glazed pot with dark brown speckles does have a chop mark that I believe is Japanese, but in truth was too heavy for me to photograph. BONSAI TREE BOUGAINVILLEA with 8.5 BASE in FINE BLUE TOKONAME POT

BONSAI TREE BOUGAINVILLEA with 8.5 BASE in FINE BLUE TOKONAME POT. Height: The height of the tree from the soil line to the top of the apex is 21. Trunk Diameter: The trunk Dia, above the base is 4 inches thick. Base (Root Spread): Tree shows many exposed Roots 8.5. Canopy: The lowest portion is 24 across. This old and beautiful tree was acquired from the famous Huntington Library Bonsai Collection that is found in San Marino, California. This outstanding Bougainvillea has all the right ingredients in becoming a masterpiece very soon. Along with the well shaped Canopy and the super ramification of the deep red bracts, the tree also shows an awesome and old thick trunk, excellent branch placement, and a super flaky bark that shows the trees age. In a few weeks as the tree continues to bloom the entire canopy will be filled with an explosion of color. Canopy as well as the entire composition is a vibrant glazed blue Japanese Tokoname ceramic bonsai pot (16×12x4). One of the traits that I love about this old container is the beautiful blue glaze that was perfectly done and works very well with the deep red brackets as well as the small white flowers of the tree, a match made in Heaven!
